Welcome to The Junior Webmasters International Challenge

What is it?

Students research the topic - 'Kids 4 Peace' and then produce a web page or web site prepared by their team. The Research, planning and web designing time will take approximately 2-3 months.

The Junior Webmasters Competition is open to all students studying in Grades 3 -12.

    Who can participate?

  • All Teams must have at least 2 students enrolled at the same school.

  • Home school students may negotiate their entries with the Project Manager at Gigglepotz.com. Contact gigglepotz2002@yahoo.com for more information.

  • Each Team must have ONE Support Teacher who may help with technical problems.

  • The Web site must be researched and planned by the students only.

  •   The Support Teacher must be a teacher at the school and may NOT help with any of the research or design of the web site.

  •   Each school may sign up as many Teams of students as it likes.

The Website must contain

  • The Topic - 'Kids 4 Peace'.

  • The student's names or Team Name, School name and Support Teacher's name.

  • Evidence that the Team collaborated during the Project.

  • Research findings must be presented in text and image format.

  • An 'About Us' page, introducing the Team and the school. (NO identifying material is to be used)

  • An email link to the Team or Teacher

    What students gain from this Activity

  • An ability to methodically research using a variety of media.

  • Develop skills that encourage collaboration and co-operation within a group.

  • Increase knowledge of technology and web design.

  • Increase awareness of information sources from different worldwide locations

  • Understanding of Topic related material
