Teachers know the importance of developing skills in their students, that will take them into the 21st Century. 'The World is our Classroom' is an effective way of encouraging many new and practical skills, students will need in the new world of technology.

Look at the skills each student may develop during our Project:

  • Students will develop skills that encourage collaboration and team-work.

  • Students will be encouraged to see different points of view and consider different beliefs and cultural aspects.

  • Students will broaden their awareness of the world through cultural exchange of ideas.

  • Students will use various forms of technology to work with a group of students at a distance.

  • Students will need to develop teamwork and an appreciation of different points of view during the Project.

  • Student will participate in planning, writing, and designing a website.

  • Students will participate in moderated online discussions, exchange of email and other forms of communication to broaden their understanding of our world.

  • Students will work together with other students to achieve a common goal.

  • Students will recognize the importance and difficulty of international collaboration.

  • Students will make life-long friendships with the 'virtual classrooms'.
