THEME: Bags

Creative uses for bags are also explored through puppetry, sewing and painting. We urge everyone to use cloth or paper bags for safety and environmental reasons.

Make and Do

1. Simple Bag and Bag Shop

2. Happy And You Know It Book - What kinds of things make you happy? Draw some pictures of things that make you happy and make them into your very own "If you're happy and you know it" book.
3. Special Bag - Make your own special bag using an orange or apple bag. Tie on some handles so you can carry your bag around. You may like to weave some ribbon or coloured strips of crepe paper through the holes. What will you use your bag for?

4. Make a Crane using a paper bag.

5. Read the book 'The Paper Bag Princess'.

6. Make a Paper bag Tiger.

8. PAPER BAG STORIES
This is a creativity and imagination building exercise.

What You Need:

* 1 paper bag-lunch size
* 5 misc items from around the house- inside or out.

What You Do:

1. Fill a paper bag with 5 assorted items -- for example a comb, a whistle, a rock, a dime, and a fork.
2. Give your child the bag.
3. Have your child look in the bag and try to tell a story that uses all of the items in the bag.
