T.E.L. provides you with Math Center, Spelling Center, Writing Center, and Reading Center ideas, all with a technology component. Reading Center Word Wall Task Cards Objectives : To introduce new words or reinforce words on a Word Wall. 1. Choose any 5 words from the Word Wall. Write them on cards. Cut them into syllables. With a friend put the Word Wall words back together. Write 5 exciting sentences using these words. 2. Choose 8 Word Wall words. Draw a story using these words. Label each word. Read your Word story to a friend. 3. Choose any 5 Word Walls. Make up a Cheer for the words. Add some actions. Perform the Cheers for the class. 4. From the Word Wall, write down 10 words. Break each word into syllables. 5. Can you find small words in 10 of the Word Wall words? Make a list of the small words. Compare your list with a friend. 6. Choose a word from the Word Wall. Write the word in the air. Ask a partner to guess and spell the word. 7. From the Word Wall, list all the NOUNS. Think of an adjective to go with each Noun. 8. Make Flashcards of 8 Word Wall words. Be 'Teacher for the Day' and teach these words to the class. Remember to design and plan a Worksheet to go with your lesson. 9. With the Letter Cards, make 8 Word Wall words. Show them to a partner.
