8th Grade Social Studies Project The Culture of the Plains Indians You will write and conduct a T.V. Interview with a Plains Indian. You will work with a partner and take on the role of a Journalist or a Native American Indian. You need to include in your Interview the following: 1. Farming 2. Clothing 3. Buffalo 4. Trading 5. Nomadic Way of Life 6. Ceremonies 7. Names of Tribes 8. Sign Language 9. Tribal Status 10. Customs 11. Government within tribes 12. Beliefs. The Interview will be presented to the class and will be of 3-4 minutes duration. Use the Social Studies Text Book - Pages 422 – 426 for information. Both roles will be dressed appropriately during the presentation. The written Script must also be submitted for grading.
