6th Grade Social Studies Project Chapter 9 – Ancient China You will write a Script for the ‘Change the Channel’ Project. 1. On the Geography Channel you will provide information about China – it’s geography, main cities, land forms and provinces. (Pages 262 – 263) 2. On the Interviews Channel, you will interview a person from the Shang Dynasty and present questions and answers about the Dynasties achievements. (pages 265) 3. On the Religion Channel, you will present information about the Religious beliefs of China. (Pages 266-267) 4. On the Music Channel, you will write and present a Song and a Poem, describing the Zhou Dynasty. (pages 268 – 269) 5. On the History Channel, you will interview a person who believes in Confucius and his teachings. (Pages 270 – 274) You will work in a group of 4 and each person will have a role for each Activity. The ‘Change the Channel’ Project will be presented to the whole class in 2 weeks, from receiving this Project sheet. You will also need to include a minimum of 5 visual aids (maps, drawings, objects, charts etc.,) in your presentation. An anchor man / woman will be needed between the changing of the channels.
