As the child is writing the Number, use these Rhymes for correct writing sequence.
0 - Round and round just like an "O"
Now you’ve made the number zero
1 - Start at the top and down you run
That’s the way you make a one

Make a candy cane and give it a shoe
That’s the way you make a two

Around and around just like a "B"
That’s the way you make a three
Around a tree and around a tree
That is how you make a three
(Right handers can put pointer finger of left hand down on paper and then
make the two bumps touching their finger - this prevents students from
making the 3 backwards!)

Down and across and slice through the door
