Long ago, Now, and the Future
	Goals : To understand that cities / town change   To observe how changes affect our lives. Students are to produce three pictures of their town - Long Ago, Now and in the Future. Long Ago : Talk to parents, grandparents about what their town looked like long ago. Visit the Library to look at past Newspapers Look at old Photo Albums and observe the scenery / buildings etc., Now : Walk or drive around the town. Notice new buildings. Talk about what was here a few years ago and is not now. Watch roadworks - Talk about what is being changed and how it will change our lives. Observe a house or building being built. what impact will new houses have on your neighborhood? The Future : Imagine your town in ten years. What new buildings may be there? How will cars, buses be different? Students draw 3 pictures - side by side.             Long Ago             Now              The Future Discuss the differences with the student.
