Your Task is : To research information about 1 Native American Tribe. You will make a Culture Box which includes the following information: You Can choose any 9 things to put in the Culture Box. 1. What is their central Belief? Write this on colored paper and paste on the top of the Culture Box. 2. What does their art look like? You are to paint the outside of the box using the patterns and colors of the Tribe you choose. 3. What clothing did they wear? You are to research your Tribe's clothing and make examples of the clothing they wore. 4. What Ceremonies did your Tribe celebrate? Write a Mini-Book about your Celebrations. 5. What special jobs do girls and boys have in your Tribe? 6. How did your Tribe use the natural resources ?(land, trees, mountains, lakes etc.,) 7. What was your Housing like? You are to construct a model of the housing your tribe lived in. 8. What did your tribe use to get around? (boat, foot, horses etc.,) Write a letter to a child today about the types of travel your tribe used. 9. What hunting weapons did your tribe use? Use a piece of paper. Draw the weapons. Label and write what each weapon was used for. 10. Did your tribe have any Myths or Legends? What were the stories passed down from generation to generation. Write and Illustrate one story you find in your research. You will have 2 weeks to complete the Native American Project |
