Gigglepotz.com is proud to announce the Shining Star Award. Recognizing excellence in Students K-12   Teachers, Do you have a student who is a Shining Star in your classroom? Of course all students "shine", but is there one or two who you would like to receive special recognition? We want to hear from you about a special student in your class. It could be a student who: has learning difficulties yet remains positive about learning and always does his / her best in all class work. Achieves academic excellence in all subject areas is a "whizz" at using computers and has produced outstanding projects using technology has good skills at resolving conflicts in the playground needs a boost in self esteem is the most improved speller, reader, math "whizz" in your class OR anything you consider to be worthy of recognition! Who Qualifies for the Shining Star Award? Who can receive the Award? :Any student in Kindergarten to Grade 12 may be nominated for the Award. Students in regular schools, Special Schools, home schooling are encouraged to apply. Who can nominate students? : Classroom Teachers, Specialist Teachers and Principals may nominate students. Are all students featured? : All students nominated for the month will be featured as a Shining Star and two students (one girl and one boy) will be named the Shining Stars for the Month. What do the Shining Stars of the Month receive? : Each month, two students (one girl and one boy) are selected as the Shining Stars of the Month and will each receive a $15 Gift Voucher to buy a pack of books for their classroom. Nominations for the Shining Star Award for May must be received by May 25th, 2001. Please Note : In accordance with our Privacy Policy, NO personal information - full name, phone numbers, email addresses, photos of students will be posted on this site. First names only will be used for the Shining Star Award.
