On snocone day Jordan gave his money to a another student. As he was walking over to sit down, I asked him why he did that. He said, "I wanted her to have the money to buy a snocone because she is a new student." This really touched my heart, and since then a lot of other student are following his fine example! A SHINING STAR!

Jamie is a quiet, cooperative student. She always works hard to do her best work. She loves to read and will earn over 200 Accelerated Reader points by the end of the year. Jamie is always willing to help out others in our class. She is a real leader in our classroom. She demonstrates a real love of learning. She will complete assignments before they are due and goes beyond the requirements. A SHINING STAR!

Evgenia, 16, is in her final year at school. She is a straight A student in all the subjects. In February 2002 she won 1st place in the regional English Language Students Competition, which was conducted as TOEFL exam, she will go to the national competition in spring. Evgenia has been taking part in international projects via I*EARN since 1998. Her essays were published in project books in Russia, USA, Australia, Sweden. In 2000, she wrote a poem in English and made a drawing which became the cover of Laws of Life project book published in New York. As a winner, she was invited to the 7th International I*EARN Conference in Beijing in July 2000 by US-I*EARN. Born on September 11, Evgenia wrote a poignant essay about her 16th birthday which ended by her watching the terrorist attack news on TV. The essay was posted at Laws of Life project. Evgenia is very creative in all her work. A SHINING STAR!
