Discuss the work of mums, dads and carers (volunteer work, paid work,
work in the home).
Invite guest speakers to talk about their specific work (paid and unpaid).
Walk around the local community to identify different community
groups, facilities and services (eg post office, shops, homes, church
and playgrounds).
With friends, negotiate which kind of community worker they would
like to research. Present the information as a project showing how
the worker helps to meet the community needs. Consider how the job
the worker does might change over time.
