Sea Creatures Activities Roller painting a blue sea scape. Making fish out of items from the useful box. The fish and washing basket rocks are added to the sea scape.
Baths and Boats Islands On a large piece of cardboard, use paint and collage materials to make an underwater scene. Add crepe paper sea weed, paper bag and wrapping paper fish or create the environment under a table hanging sea weed and fish from the underside of the table. Make a heads and tails memory game. Cut out from old magazines pictures of sea creatures, back them with cardboard then cut them in half. Shuffle the cards, turn them face down. Take turns to match the correct head to tail. Art and Craft Make a sand picture. Use a brush and paste to make a 'drawing'. Sprinkle the page with sand and then shake off. You should have a sand picture. Make a fish from a paper plate. Cut centre circle and small piece of the outer rim for tail. Paste a small pieces of paper for scales. Take a trip to the fish markets or a fish shop. Look at all the types of fish and sea creatures. Use a straw to blow into a cup covered with a stocking, to create a bubble cloud. A bubble picture is made by lacing a piece of paper onto the bubble cloud. Make a fish mobile. Cut out fish shapes and decorate with paint or crayons. Attach string and tie to a coat hanger. Fill a shallow tray with water. Add boats made of corks or paper. Blow on the water to make small waves to move the boats. Create stories about 'What happened when you went to sea?' Play bury the stick. The other person has to find it by 'hot' 'cold' clues. Make sand sculptures, shaping sand to make any shape or object. Play with a beach ball. |
