Lesson Plan : A Historical Writing Piece
Learning Outcomes:	Students will be able to research and write a factual piece about a Historical figure.
Content	Note-taking skills, Writing of Draft, Proof reading,
Strategies	Discuss the factual events in the cartoon - 'The Yellow Kid'. Research a historical figure (past or present). Take notes about important and exciting events in his/her life. Draw your own comic. Write your own script to describe an important event in History. Some possible figures include : Martin Luther King, Elvis Presley, Tiger Woods, Abraham Lincoln, Florence Nightingale, Yvonne Goolagong, Shirley Temple.
