Internet Educator of the Month Award.
When you visit this amazing site you can see that both general music and piano students can access much of the total curriculum for both subjects online. In addition to homework, their online magazine (which they publish in December) and includes only student reviews of music, theatre and concerts; our students will also be working with "notation station" in receiving online music theory lessons. "Our website is coordinated to our yearly curriculum with many new pages added to help the students with their understanding of the world of music. Our students can listen to hundreds of piano midis and this year they will be able to hear themselves as well as we add recordings of their version of many piano "classics" to our site. Parents and students alike can contact me daily and they seem to appreciate the fact that I am but a "click" away from helping them with homework, questions about purchasing a piano or how to select a good piano teacher for additional instruction outside of the school setting." Mrs. Friedlander is an excellent example of an educator using technology to inspire and motivate her students.
She is an outstanding educator who truly deserves recognition for her creative and challenging work done online and in the classroom!
