The Book consists of over 30 pages of Activities for teachers to use in their classrooms.
It has been written and developed by teaching staff at Gigglepotz.com, with experience in Elementary and Junior High classrooms.

Chapter One The Boy who Lived. 1. Write a description of each of the characters : Mr. Dursley and Mrs. Dursley - Page 1. 2. Page 2 - Draw the "boring" tie Mr. Dursley picked out. Draw another tie. Make it an interesting tie. Write a description for each tie. 3. Imagine if you saw a cat reading a Map. What would be your thoughts about the cat? Page 2. 4. As Mr. Dursley was driving to work, write what his thoughts were about what he saw. Page 3. 5. "Fear flooded Mr. Dursley" Page 4. Draw what you imagine his face looked like. Write 5 more words to describe his face. 6. What is a "Muggle"? Page 5. Make a Muggle badge. Design and Write a logo for the badge. 7. Page 6 - Using the News Report on Page 6, record on tape, the news as a Newscaster. 8. Read these words describing Albus Dumbledore : "tall, thin, silver hair, beard long enough to tuck into his belt, long robes, purple cloak, high healed buckled boots, eyes - light, bright and sparkling, long crooked nose". Page 8. Draw what you imagine he would look like. Label the picture using the words. 9. Page 9 - What was the "Put-Outer" used for? What would you use it for? 10. Page 11 - The word "VOLDEMORT" is used for the first time on Page 11. Make an Acronym from the letters in his name. 11. Page 12 - Draw Dumbledore's watch. ( "12 hands, but no numbers, instead little planets moving around the edge".) Make Instructions for reading the time on his watch. 12. Page 13 - "Harry Potter will be famous - a legend". Who do you know is famous or a legend? Write a letter describing why they are famous. 13. Page 14 - Read the description of this new characters. Draw him on his motorcycle. 14. Write your own letter to put in Harry's basket. What information would you give him about his parents? Page16 15. Draw Harry Potter laying in the blankets on the steps of Number 4, Privet Drive. |

Use a Dictionary to find the meaning of 12 spelling words. 2. Look, Cover, Write, Check all words. 3. Write 15 more "un" words. 4. Make a Word Search for all the spelling words. 5. Write all words, forward and backward. 6. Write all the Verbs. Illustrate the Verbs. 7. Ask a friend to test you. Write the corrections three times each. 8. Write a short paragraph about a "whispering motorcycle". 9. Scramble any 12 spelling words. Ask a friend to unscramble the words. 10. Find small words inside the spelling words. For example - seriously = serious. |
