Doors to the World Project

Can you guess where this class is? Read the clues from Mrs Eadie's Grade 2/3 and email them

1. We live on an island state in the southern hemisphere.
2. There is a "Big Apple" shop and apple orchards near our school.
3. Our school starts with S.

Students / Teachers send a photo or a drawing of the view to the outside world, from their classroom/school door with three clues as to the location of their school. The picture and clues will be posted for other classrooms to browse and attempt to find out where your classroom is located.

Age: Students of any age can participate. Both Elementary and Junior High School students enjoy collaborating together to take the photo / or draw a picture and write the three clues.

Location: Be sure to think hard about the clues you include with your photo. Give just enough details to help another class research the area of the world you are in.

What to do next?: Send us your photo and 3 clues. We will post the information and your class email address for other classes to guess your location.

Be sure to include you EMAIL ADDRESS so other classes can send their guesses to you.

What will students learn? :

Have fun with this project as students collaborate in writing the clues and investigate information given about the school.

Students will gain a greater understanding of continents, countries, cities and local areas. Doors to the World will provide many opportunities for students to research geography and history of a particular area and provide information to others about their unique locality.

Start NOW and send us your photo/drawing and the three clues.

Come on in and learn about our country.
