Dear Mrs. Coats and Class,

Hello and welcome to a new year as epals.

As you will all be aware we have started our new school year and have completed week Today we all wrote email letters to you and for many of us it was the very first email that we had written.Mrs. Jamieson has sent pictures of us to Mrs. Coats and we have sent a picture of our class to you too. It was taken out in the playground and you can see part of the tennis courts and school building in the background. It was taken near the sand pit, Do you have a big sand pit at your school?

Right now in Nuriootpa the weather is quite cool for summer in fact is was the coolest January for many years. We heard that on the radio today. We think that there will still be more hot weather to come. We sure hope so as we have swimming lessons coming up and the pool is VERY cold even on a hot day!

Next week we are doing reading activities about a book called Stellaluna. Have you got that book in your library?

We are also going to do a book chat startin 9th Feb.with schools in New Zealand. That is where you discuss parts of the book with other schools but you do it over the Internet. The book we are discussing is Rub-a-Dub-Sub. Mrs Jamieson has only shown us the cover but it looks like a fun book. We will have to tell you about it.

We are all lookin forward to hearing from you and getting to know more about your school and town.

Have a fun week

From Mrs. Jamieson and Class
