The Latest News! from Ms. T's Tiny Town We have been studying about citizenship, our government, national symbols and songs, and the upcoming presidential election. We had our own classroom election. Students campaigned for the jobs of Mayor, Vice-Mayor and Secretary of Ms. T's Tiny Town. Students voted today. They voted with secret ballot much the same way adults voted. Congratulations to our new Mayor, Taylor B., Vice-mayor, Chelsea R., and Secretary, Brittany H. We had a surprise field trip today! Our classroom went to the polls and participated in Kids Vote. See the students participating in the voting process. They got to vote for president and follow Ms. T through the voting process as she voted. It was really neat to see the actual voting poll and helped us understand more about our government and how officials are elected. Thanks, Sheri T.
