A December hello from 4E at Bilambil Primary School. The weather is really warming up for summer here and we go off for a 3 day camp this week. We'll be visiting a wildlife park then fishing, canoeing, snorkelling and swimming at a recreation park by the beach. 4E have just finished their Christmas web pages . Thought you might like to take a look at: All our very best wishes for Christmas. Jenny Eather and 4E |

Dear Jenny and 4E, What a joy to receive your Christmas message and link to your Christmas page. I passed your note on to our class by e-mail and we will look over your web site in class on Monday. What a terrific job you have done! We are quite impressed! It is cold here - although we do not receive any snow here in Sacramento. Last night we had a Christmas party/cookie exchange at Mrs. Jimison's house. We all brought 4 dozen cookies to exchange, played games, and went caroling. We had hot apple wassail, eggnog punch, cookies, quiche, stuffed mushrooms, cappucino caramels, crackers and cheese, and other candies. Merry Christmas! We enjoy having you as our class connect buddies! Mr. Jimison and 4th gr. class |
Dear Jenny and 4E, Your package arrived today. We opened it together and were amazed at all the wonderful items you sent. WOW!!!!!! The kids were overjoyed! I wish I had a digital camera to take a picture of the excitement on their faces. Their favorite was your uniform, hat, and money. Your idea of taking Flat Stanley and changes his clothes with each student was awesome...very creative! We put them all up on our bulletin board. I took a picture of it but it may take a while to use up the film. As we stand back and look at it, we can tell Stanley had a GREAT time! Your area of Bilambil looks so beautiful. We were in awe of all the pictures you sent and pamphets. You are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful environment. The view out your veranda is amazing. I will never want to take the bulletin board down because we are enjoying all of the items so much. The students loved the letters from 4E. They were so excited! We will work on composing letters back. I had to give a few "duplicate" letters to students who didn't receive one. It worked out fine. They are bringing the letters home to share with their families. Thank you so much again for all your generosity. I know it must have been quite a bundle to send such a large package. Your time and effort involved will remain in our hearts. The items and letters touched all the students and I know they will remember your class as they grow. You truly touched their hearts and lives. You will hear from us again soon. Thank you! Sincerely, Pam Jimison and 4th gr. class

Dear Pam, I got back from holidays today and the three letters/packages you had sent were waiting. The class and I had a wonderful time this morning opening them, reading all your messages and getting to know Flat Stanley. The class were really excited with all the postcards and the letters from the class. We spent the morning reading them all and finding a buddy to reply to each letter. Flat Stanley is going to visit each student's home and find out all he can about a day in the life of our Bilambil students. I have included a copy of your letter in the notes I sent to parents today. We have also borrowed Flat Stanley books from the school library. Regards, Jenny |

Dear Mrs. Eather and 4E, Wow! We are so excited to connect with you. How wonderful to have your principal running in the Olympic Torch Relay today! What a great opportunity! I hope you will be able to get some super pictures. We had the Track and Field Olympic tryouts in Sacramento this year just a few months ago. Many of the students attended. It was hot - many days over 100 degrees. Our school officially starts on the 28th. I will read your letter to the class the first day. I know they will be thrilled. It is awesome to be linked up with a class in another country. They will be very happy. Please tell us about your city. Our school is in Sacramento, California. Sacramento is the state capital. It is between 2 rivers and near the Sierra Mountains. Gold was first discovered in California close to Sacramento. Students at our school live in Sacramento and area towns such as Folsom, Roseville, Gold River, El Dorado Hills, Elk Grove, and Wilton. Ours is a private school. I (the teacher)travel 23 miles to school one way but it takes 45 min. or so with traffic. Thank you again for hooking up with us! We look forward to being friends! Pam Jimison and 4th gr. class
Dear Jenny, Glad to have you back to school! I will read your letter to our class this morning and show them the great pictures you sent. I love the large Flat Stanley on your bulletin board! Very cute! I know my class will be thrilled to get the pictures! You must have a digital camera. ? Pam Jimison |
