Emma's and Ric's friends, Joseph and Shelby couldn't find the light houses, but did find the train station near the courthouse downtown. There were lots of white Christmas lights on the trees outside.
All of their classmates were dressed in snowsuits, hats, mittens, scarves, and boots. They were dressed for the cold train ride to pick up Santa and bring him to their town. They drank hot chocolate on the way. Santa was glad to see the children making snow angels and snowmen. It reminded him of the North Pole. Santa couldn't stay long, so Joseph and Shelby decided to help Santa with his work.
Their friends were bringing canned food to school to give to the hungry people. They also had a popcorn sale to buy presents for poor kids. There were 26 more days until Christmas. Will Santa get all of his work done? Joseph and Shelby were as busy as elves. But they couldn't do everything all over the world. Who else would help them they wondered? |
