Later when Allie and Austin went to bed, someone tapped them on the shoulder. It was the Gumnut angel. And she said that her Granny wanted her. She looked in the corner and there was her Granny.
“Granny”, shouted Allie. “Sshh” said her Granny. “You will wake your Mum, Dad and Austin. Where is your brooch?" Well, the Gumnut angel let us have 3 wishes and our third wish was to see Jesus at the stable. And we brought no present, so we gave the brooch to him. “You are a very nice girl”, said her Granny. “Thank you! Will you stay for Christmas? I’m sorry Allie but I have to go back to heaven.”
God wants me back in a half an hour and I have only that amount of time to talk to you. He felt sorry for you during Christmas so he let me down. I wish I were down there with you and the rest of the family. And her Granny then said that she only had ten more minutes left to talk to her. Can I get the rest of the family? I’m sure they would love to see you. Ok, go on. Mum, Dad, Austin she called. “What, what?” said her Dad. Its Granny said Allie. They rushed into Allie’s room. Dad shouted “Mum, mum. I missed you so much.” “I miss you too.” But when Dad had finished the sentence, their Granny had disappeared.
They woke up the next morning and to their surprise they found a present under the tree marked Allie and Austin. Allie opened the present and found a statue of baby Jesus holding the brooch with a smile on his face.
