Around the World Christmas Story - 2002

CHAPTER ONE

‘Twas the week before Christmas in Texas. Austin was busy getting the horses and longhorns out of their stalls and into the pasture. He saw some tumbleweed blowing across the pasture as Allie came out of the house. “Mom said that I had to help you, said Allie. “Then we can go help her bake cookies.” They hurried to finish with the animals.

 

They could smell the tasty cookies as they walked in the house. “I think they might need a little decorating,” said Allie. Austin got the sprinkles and gumballs while Allie got the frosting. They made a reindeer, Christmas trees with green needles, and a yellow star. They remembered to save one Santa cookie and one Christmas tree for Santa on Christmas Eve.

As they finished they heard Dad getting the tree and ornaments from the attic. They would be using the artificial tree, because it was too far to drive to east Texas to cut down a tree.

They helped unpack the ornaments and put the spinning star on top and the train under the tree. There was a picture ornament of their summer trip to the Alamo. Just then the doorbell rang and.............
