WHAT WILL I NEED?

1.You will need to choose ONE state in America (NOT California)

2. After you have chosen your state, research the following information:

Lakes

Rivers

Mountains

Plains

Climate (weather)

Capital city

2 places of interest

3. Begin the first draft of your talk. You may use Index Cards for notes, but you cannot read your talk.

4. Here are some ideas to get started:

Good morning everyone. I have chosen ________ as the state to talk about. The capital city is ____________. The state I chose has a lake called ___________ and a river named ______________________.

The climate (weather) in _________ is _____________________.

During my research I found out that there are two places of interest in this state:
