Science Research Project - A Desert Animal - 3rd Grade
	Over the next 2 weeks, we will be learning about deserts. This Research Project will require you to make a DIORAMA (box) containing a desert animal (model) and its' habitat. (where it lives)
	WHAT will you make? The Diorama will be a box containing a model of your animal and where it lives. You may use paper, foam pieces, paint, wood or any other material available at home. See examples of Dioramas at http://www.gigglepotz.com/s1.htm http://www.gigglepotz.com/s2.htm
	WHAT will it look like? The DIORAMA must have: A model of your desert animal A model of plant life A description of the animal Each label must be neatly written or typed. All student names must be included on the Diorama.
	WHEN is it due? The DIORAMA and labels must be brought to school on Friday, September 20th or earlier.
	GRADING Information - /10 (How well you explain life in the desert for this animal) Diorama - /10 (How accurately and creatively you present the information) Students may work in groups of up to 4 or work individually.
